FAQs

Subscription updates, connection troubleshooting, route selection, and billing. Browse by topic and expand a question to see the answer.

For connection issues, first check your account status and local network, then adjust the client settings. When submitting a ticket, include only the information needed to troubleshoot, and hide your account credentials and subscription link.

Account & Subscription

Check your account and configuration source before importing, updating, or moving to another device.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Keep your login details safe, and never share your password and subscription link together. In the user panel, you can find your plan, client downloads, and support tickets. If you forget your login details, check your password manager and any records saved on your device. For help, see the available contact options on the support page. Never show your password in public comments or screenshots, and don’t enter your account credentials on import pages from unverified sources.

Where can I find my subscription link, and do I need to import it again after an update?

Sign in to the user panel and find your link in the subscription section, then import it into your current client. To refresh the route list, open subscription or configuration management in the client, select your VPNTrain subscription, and run an update. The exact option name varies by client. If the link in the panel hasn’t changed, updating the existing subscription is usually enough; there’s no need to add the same configuration again. If the link has been reset, replace the old address and make sure your connection is using the new configuration. If the update fails, check your account status and network connection first. Don’t post your full subscription link on a public help page.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices?

There’s no limit on the number of devices that can be online at the same time, so switching devices alone doesn’t mean you need a different plan. Sign in to the user panel on the new device, get the client and subscription, then follow the import steps for that platform. Device count and plan data are separate: unlimited devices don’t mean unlimited data, so keep an eye on usage in the panel. Remove saved subscription settings from devices you no longer use. If a device is lost or someone else may have accessed your subscription, check the panel for a subscription reset option and update the configuration on your remaining devices.

Which platforms are supported, and where can I download the client?

VPNTrain supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Client downloads are available in the user panel; follow the link in the user guide, and don’t identify an installer by a similar name in search results. After signing in, you can get the client for Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux. The iOS download link requires an active purchased plan. Once installed, you’ll still need to import your subscription and configure the connection. Downloading the client alone doesn’t connect your device. If the system requests network permissions, verify the app’s source and review the prompt before following the guide for your platform.

Connection Issues

Check your local network, subscription configuration, and app proxy settings separately. Keep track of the result of each change.

The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. What should I check first?

First, check whether all websites are inaccessible or just one. Make sure your local network can reach sites you normally use, then check your plan status, remaining data, and the subscription and route selected in the client. Next, confirm that the system proxy or tunnel is actually enabled; the client can say “connected” even when traffic isn’t passing through it. Quit other network proxy tools and try again to reduce the chance of configuration conflicts. Change one setting at a time and note the result. If the issue persists, submit the error message and what you were doing when it occurred through a support ticket. Don’t include your full subscription link.

Why can I browse the web, but a particular app won’t use the proxy?

Different apps may use different network paths, so a working browser doesn’t mean other apps will automatically follow the system proxy. Check whether rule-based routing is enabled in the client and whether the app or domain is set to connect directly. If you use per-app proxying, make sure the app is included. Some programs require tunnel mode or a proxy configured in the app itself; check the client and app documentation. After making changes, fully quit and reopen the app so it doesn’t reuse an old connection. Don’t leave system security features disabled for troubleshooting, and don’t run multiple tools that take over network traffic at the same time.

The subscription update failed or the route list is empty. What should I do?

Sign in to the user panel and check your subscription status and data usage. Then make sure the link saved in your client is complete, with no extra spaces or line breaks and no missing characters at the end. If you reset your subscription, the old link no longer works as the current configuration; get the new one from the panel. Also make sure the import method matches the configuration format supported by your client. Don’t use a regular webpage address as a subscription link. Keep your existing configuration and try updating it first; remove the old entry only after you’ve confirmed the replacement works. If the problem continues, include the client name, operating system, and error text in a support ticket, but redact sensitive parts of the link.

What information should I prepare before submitting a ticket about frequent disconnections?

Note whether disconnections happen after your device sleeps, you switch networks, an app goes into the background, or another proxy tool starts. On mobile devices, check background activity and battery settings. On desktop devices, check the proxy status after waking from sleep. In your ticket, include your operating system, client name, selected region, connection mode, the steps that led to the issue, and a redacted screenshot of the error. If you can compare different routes on the same network, that may help distinguish a local issue from a route issue. Don’t submit passwords, full subscription links, sensitive payment details, or unfiltered diagnostic data.

Speed & Routes

Choose a route that meets your target service’s region requirements, then test it on your current network.

Which regions are covered, and how do I choose a route?

VPNTrain covers 90+ countries and 230+ routes. First check which regions your target service supports, then choose based on your own network and actual results—not just geographic distance. Everyday browsing, video streaming, and development tools can have different needs, and the same route may perform differently on different networks. Review the regions listed for each route, then select an appropriate exit in your client. Once you find a suitable route, keep your configuration consistent. If a service still reports a region mismatch, check your account region and the platform’s rules. Route coverage doesn’t guarantee availability on a particular service.

How can I troubleshoot slow browsing or buffering during peak hours?

Pause large downloads, cloud sync, and other tasks that use your network continuously, then compare ordinary websites with the service you’re trying to use. If everything is slow, check your local network first. If only the current route is affected, try another route in the same region, provided it meets the target service’s region requirements. For video, temporarily lower the quality to see whether available bandwidth is a factor. Don’t change the route, client mode, and app settings all at once, or it will be hard to tell what helped. Note the time, region, and specific symptoms before submitting a ticket. A static route illustration isn’t a guarantee of peak-hour performance.

An AI tool reports a region issue or disconnects. Will switching routes fix it?

Not necessarily. AI services may consider your exit region, account details, login history, and their own risk controls; the connection route is only one factor. Check the platform’s current region requirements, choose an eligible exit, and avoid frequent region changes while signing in or using the service. If the website works but a developer tool doesn’t, check whether your terminal, IDE, or plugin uses the same proxy settings. Interrupted streaming output may also be related to local network sleep or how the app manages connections. If the platform has restricted your account, follow its appeal process rather than repeatedly trying different identity details.

Does connecting through a particular region guarantee access to that region’s streaming library?

No. Streaming content and playback access can also depend on your account region, platform subscription, content licensing, app cache, and how the service identifies exit locations. Check the platform’s service regions and your account eligibility, then confirm which route is selected in the client. After changing exits, close and reopen the app to see whether the region notice updates. If only one title won’t play, check its licensing details instead of assuming the entire route is unavailable. Route descriptions are intended to help you choose; they don’t imply a partnership with any platform or guarantee continued access to every library or video quality.

Billing & Refunds

Check prices, data, and validity separately. For order-related actions, follow the user panel and policy pages.

How much does a monthly plan cost, and when does the data reset?

Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Estimate your data needs based on typical video streaming, file transfers, and development work. Monthly plans aren’t unlimited, and data doesn’t necessarily reset at the start of the calendar month. Check your account status and reset schedule in the user panel. Before upgrading, review the order details and remaining usage period shown there to make sure they fit your needs; don’t rely on an old screenshot.

What’s the difference between a data pack and a monthly plan?

Data packs are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They last until the data is used and never expire. Monthly plan data resets each month on the activation date, while data packs are consumed as you use them—compare the options against your usage habits. “Never expire” refers to the pack’s validity period; it doesn’t mean used data is restored or that the pack provides unlimited data. If you already have a monthly plan and are considering a data pack as well, check the applicable terms and order details in the user panel. Don’t assume plans can be stacked, switched automatically, or charged in a particular order.

Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my panel doesn’t update after payment?

VPNTrain supports Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Open the payment page through the order process in the user panel and check the plan name and amount. Don’t send money to payment details posted in public comments. If the panel hasn’t updated after payment, return to your orders and check the status for anything incomplete or awaiting confirmation. Don’t pay again right away. If you need support to investigate, submit the order details and a redacted payment result through a ticket. Follow the instructions shown for the current order; don’t reuse payment details, screenshots, or old links from another order.

How do I request a refund, and what information should I provide?

VPNTrain offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel and submit a support ticket with the relevant order and refund request. Eligibility and processing are governed by the refund policy and terms of service. You don’t need to troubleshoot connection issues before requesting a no-questions-asked refund. If you’d also like help with a technical issue, you can separately include your system, client, and a description of the problem. Check for replies and add any necessary information in the original ticket rather than splitting the same issue across multiple conversations. Don’t share your account password or full subscription link, and don’t treat refund processing time as a guaranteed deadline.

Does a no-logs policy mean I can share my subscription link publicly?

VPNTrain’s no-logs policy doesn’t mean you should share your subscription link publicly. The link provides access to your configuration and should be protected like your account credentials. Anyone who gets it may use the subscription, affecting your data and everyday connections. When asking for help, share only the error details needed and redact sensitive information from links, account details, and orders. If you think your link has been exposed, check the user panel for a subscription reset option and update the saved configuration on each device. See the privacy policy for details on how information is handled; one privacy commitment isn’t a guarantee against every network risk.
